A USB connection and robust web browser based UI allows you to setup and configure your CDN connection before you even arrive at your event. Once there, simply press the Stream button and deliver your project across HELO’s Ethernet connection, which allows support for RTP/RTSP, RTMP, RTMPE for Facebook live as well as Unicast. HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) support adds compatiblity with Apple’s popular iOS devices and more.
HELO’s web based GUI even provides a video preview window so that you can ensure you are getting just what you expect.
An AV Mute setting allows you to mute live video and audio for your stream and either load your own graphic with event details or utilize a built in holding graphic before your event goes live.

HELO offers a dedicated Record button right on the front of HELO’s small and mobile interface for immediate recording. It also provides simultaneous recording while streaming and redundant recording of one file to two media destinations simultaneously. AV Mute Function
Personalize your pre-stream viewers’ experience with your own content instead of color bars or black. Simply toggle your graphic through the webUI to the end viewer. In case of technical difficulties, AV Mute is used while maintaining your stream.
During service connection issues, the Event Logs assists in pinpointing issues for fault analysis remotely via the webUI or exported to a file.

Firmware v4.2 for HELO offers a range of improvements. Please read the Release Notes to learn more.
While HELO supports standard USB and SD card media and encodes content to relatively low bit-rates (up to 20 Mbps), the instantaneous performance requirements of the media are significantly higher than that. This is especially true for longer file segment durations enabled by the v2.1 software update for HELO. Please read the HELO Media Recommendations Document under the Documents tab for general recommendations around using media with HELO as well.
